'save' in the battery pop-up

What does the 'save' button in the battery pop-up do? Save the game would be my first guess but I would not expect a save button inside the battery view of the robot view. I'd expect that in the settings pop-up (where the help is found).

Sorry for the slow answer, I thought I was subscribed to all the forums but, apparently, not this one. (Now fixed.)

Anyway, Save saves your name-change. You can name your robots in that window.

Also, the game auto-saves (to the server, if there's a network) each time you ...

* Sign out
* Press the Home button.
* Close the list.
* Otherwise "resign active" on the app. Say, by responding to another app's notification.

The game also saves-to-disk periodically, but there is not (yet, as of Beta-2) a mechanism to re-load that disk-save and/or upload it. That's a planned feature, I just haven't gotten to it yet.

NOTE: When it gets to the point where you can play a locally-saved (to disk) farm, you won't be able to do market or BitBucks (IAP) transactions until the farm has made a round-trip to the server (upload, then download.) This is to prevent farm-hacking.

Interesting!

Also, I really like the notification that you show saying that your farm misses you or something, nice touch!

Suggestion: make the “Save” button say “Save Name” and/or move it under the Robot name text entry field so it “chunks” with the text box so it is clearer what a person is saving.

It's already in both places (tap the robot name), but I'll update the button to indicate that you're saving the name.

Thanks!

Hmmm! While you're changing things around graphically, could you make it so that the name we save for our robot sticks between versions? I tried that when you told me what it was for and named my robot and now with the last update it reverted to Robot-001.
